{"id":233,"date":"2015-11-15T23:17:23","date_gmt":"2015-11-16T05:17:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fomby.com\/momma\/?p=233"},"modified":"2015-11-15T23:17:23","modified_gmt":"2015-11-16T05:17:23","slug":"kentucky-butter-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fomby.com\/momma\/kentucky-butter-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Kentucky Butter Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky Butter Cake<\/p>\n<p>Author: Cookies &amp; Cups<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<br \/>\nCake<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 cup butter, cubed at room temperature<br \/>\n\u2022 2 cups granulated sugar<br \/>\n\u2022 4 eggs<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tablespoon vanilla<br \/>\n\u2022 3 cups all purpose flour<br \/>\n\u2022 1 teaspoon kosher salt<br \/>\n\u2022 1 teaspoon baking powder<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd teaspoon baking soda<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup buttermilk<br \/>\nButter Glaze<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 . cup butter<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00be cup granulated sugar<br \/>\n\u2022 2 tablespoons water<br \/>\n\u2022 2 teaspoons vanilla<br \/>\nInstructions<\/p>\n<p>1.<br \/>\nPreheat the oven to 325\u00b0F\/165\u00b0C<br \/>\n2.<br \/>\nGrease a 10&#8243; bundt pan with butter or shortening very liberally. Dust the pan with flour and set aside.<br \/>\n3.<br \/>\nPlace all the cake ingredients in the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Mix on low for<br \/>\n30 seconds and then increase the speed to medium and mix for 3 minutes.<br \/>\n4.<br \/>\nPour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 65-75 minutes until a toothpick entered into the center<br \/>\ncomes out clean.<br \/>\n5.<br \/>\nWhen the cake is done make the glaze. Combine all ingredients into a small saucepan over medium-low heat.<br \/>\nStir continuously until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.
